On July 13, 2022, Guo Wei, Head of Office of the People's Republic of China to the State of Palestine, met with Hanna Hanania, Mayor of Bethlehem, Palestine. 

Guo Wei said that the friendly relations between China and Palestine have developed steadily, with fruitful exchanges and cooperation in humanities, tourism and other fields. China is willing to strengthen exchanges with local provinces and cities in Palestine, promote personnel exchanges and tourism cooperation in the post-epidemic era, enhance traditional friendship, and work together for mutual benefit and win-win results. 

Hanania spoke highly of Palestine-China friendship and looked forward to deepening local and and cultural exchanges. He welcomed more Chinese tourists to Bethlehem for sightseeing and was willing to make contributions to serve the friendly exchanges between the two countries.
