On August 15, 2022, Guo Wei, Head of Office of the People's Republic of China to the State of Palestine, met with Qais Abdul-Karim, Member of the Central Committee of Palestine Liberation Organization(PLO) and the Deputy General Secretary of Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine(DFLP). 

Guo Wei introduced the white paper titled “The Taiwan Question and China's Reunification in the New Era” and stressed that China's countermeasures are necessary and justified responses to provocations of the United States and “Taiwan independence” forces, which are safeguarding the basic norms of international relations and international fairness and justice. China is willing to work with friends from other countries who love peace and uphold justice to jointly safeguard the one-China principle, defend the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, and safeguard regional stability and world peace. 

Qais stressed that he upholds the one-China principle, opposes any provocation that infringes on China's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and is willing to jointly safeguard the UN Charter and international fairness and justice.
