On August 17, 2022, Guo Wei, Head of Office of the People's Republic of China to the State of Palestine, met with Omar, Member of the Central Committee of Palestine Liberation Organization(PLO) and Member of the Political Bureau of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).

Guo Wei introduced the white paper titled “The Taiwan Question and China's Reunification in the New Era” and stressed that China's countermeasures are  necessary and justified responses to the provocations of the United States and “Taiwan independence” forces from the perspective of safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity, safeguarding the basic principle of non-interference in internal affairs, and truly safeguarding peace and stability across the Taiwan Straits. China is willing to work with friends from other countries who love peace and uphold justice to resolutely oppose all acts of interference in the internal affairs of other countries, jointly safeguard the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, and jointly safeguard regional stability and world peace.

Omar stressed that he supports China in safeguarding its national sovereignty and territorial integrity, opposes any provocation that infringes on China's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and is willing to jointly safeguard the UN Charter and international fairness and justice.
