Guo Wei, Head of Office of the People’s Republic of China to the State of Palestine Signs a Donation Agreement with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA)

Recently, Guo Wei, Head of Office of the People's Republic of China to the State of Palestine, signed a donation agreement with Karim Amer, Director of  Partnerships at the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA)

Guo Wei said that China appreciates and supports the work of the UNRWA and has been actively providing assistance to Palestine refugees within its capabilities through the UNRWA. This year, the Chinese government has contributed $1 million to the UNRWA to improve the livelihood of the Palestine refugees, and promote the restoration of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, a comprehensive, just and lasting settlement of the Palestinian question as well as peace, stability and development in the Middle East together with the international community. 

Karim, on behalf of the UNRWA, appreciated the Chinese government's continuous and strong support for the UNRWA’s work, thanked China for its contributions to guarantee the livelihood of Palestine refugees and support of refugee education in the West Bank. He stressed that the UNRWA attaches importance to the development of partnership with China and is willing to continuously strengthen good cooperation between the two sides.
