On September 25, 2022, Guo Wei, Head of Office of the People's Republic of China to the State of Palestine, held an online reception to solemnly celebrate the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. The reception kicked off with the sounding of the national anthems of China and Palestine. The guests watched a special film “China's development and achievements in the past decade” to get a comprehensive understanding of China's historic achievements since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
Guo Wei said in his speech that the Communist Party of China will convene its 20th National Congress in October this year to map out a grand blueprint for China's development. Chinese President Xi Jinping recently attended the Samarkand Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), expound on the bright future of China's development and look forward to the new journey of a major country and a major political party, made an insightful explanation of the Global Security Initiative (GSI) and the Global Development Initiative (GDI), called on all countries to stay true to the vision of common, comprehensive, cooperative and sustainable security and build a balanced, effective and sustainable security architecture, and called on all parties to foster global development partnership, and achieve more robust, greener and more balanced global development.
Guo Wei said that China and Palestine have actively implemented the important common understandings reached by the two heads of state, and their cooperation in various fields has been advancing steadily. The Palestinian Presidency issued a statement reaffirming the One-China principle, and China highly appreciates this. China will not cease its support for the just cause of the Palestinian people until the Palestinian question is resolved. Chinese President Xi Jinping's four-point proposal for resolving the Palestinian question put forward in 2017 has made the most authoritative statement on China's position. In 2021, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi proposed three-point vision for the implementation of the “two-state solution”.
