On November 20, 2022, Guo Wei, Head of Office of the People’s Republic of China to the State of Palestine, met with the Palestinian Deputy Prime Minister Ziad Abu Amr.

Guo Wei introduced the important achievements and significance of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and stressed that the goals, tasks and policies for the development of the cause of the Party and the country in the next five years and even longer were planned at the 20th CPC National Congress. Chinese President Xi Jinping attended the G20 Summit and the APEC Informal Leaders’ Meeting and pointed out that China will stay committed to the path of peaceful development, stay committed to deepening reform and opening-up, and stay committed to promoting national rejuvenation on all fronts through a Chinese path to modernization. A China marching toward modernization will bring more opportunities to the world, inject stronger momentum for international cooperation, and make greater contribution to human progress. The traditional friendly relations between China and Palestine have been strengthened over time, and will surely achieve new development in the new era to benefit the two peoples. 

Ziad Abu Amr congratulated the successful convening of 20th National Congress of the CPC, and spoke highly of the historic achievements made by China under the leadership of President Xi Jinping, setting an example for developing countries and making important contributions to safeguarding world peace and development. He believed that the friendly relations between Palestine and China will secure new and greater achievements under the leadership of the leaders of the two states.
