On August 21, 2023, Zeng Jixin, Head of Office of the People's Republic of China to the State of Palestine, met with Issam Qaddumi, Secretary General of Palestinian Higher Council for Youth and Sports. The two sides exchanged views on the promotion of youth and sports exchanges and cooperation, and signed a cooperation agreement on sports events in Palestine.
