On September 26, 2023, the Office of the People's Republic of China to the State of Palestine held the Reception in Celebration of the 74th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China and the 35th Anniversary of China-Palestine Diplomatic Relations. Head of Office Zeng Jixin delivered a speech, and Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh attended and addressed the event. Over 350 guests from various communities participated in the event, including leaders of Palestine's party, government and military authority, friends from different sectors, representatives of various countries in Palestine and overseas Chinese.

Zeng Jixin showed the great achievements made since the founding of PRC, elaborated that Chinese modernization provides new opportunities for the world, and that the Belt and Road Initiative has made great contributions to the global development. He further expressed China's willingness to work with Palestine to carry forward the traditional friendship, deepen exchanges and cooperation, and to promote China-Palestine strategic partnership for more tangible outcomes.

Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh extended warm congratulations on the 74th anniversary of the founding of the PRC on behalf of Palestine, and praised China's achievements in economic and social development. He also spoke highly of the traditional friendship between Palestine and China, and wished to join hands with China to strengthen solidarity and cooperation and safeguard international fairness and justice.

During the reception, a video clip celebrating the 35th anniversary of the China-Palestine diplomatic relations was played, and Palestinian youths staged wonderful folk dances. The reception was held in a friendly and warm atmosphere.
