To further facilitate visa applicants, the Chinese consular authorities shall exempt all applicants for short-term visas with a stay period of 180 days or less from fingerprint collection until 31st December 2026.

Applicants for D, J1, Q1, S1, X1 and Z visas, who are required to apply for residence permits after entry, shall still complete fingerprint collection as required.
