On February 14, 2026, Office of the People’s Republic of China to the State of Palestine jointly held a Spring Festival celebration with the Palestinian-Chinese Friendship Association and the Ramallah Municipality. Chargé d'Affaires of the Office Li Xin, Member of the PLO Executive Committee H.E. Dr. Ahmed Majdalani, Chairman of Palestinian-Chinese Friendship Association Mr. Adnan Samara, Mayor of Ramallah Mr. Issa Kassis, along with about 100 Palestinian friends and overseas Chinese, attended the event.

Li Xin stated that the horse symbolizes speed, resilience and success. Looking ahead to the coming year, China will accelerate its economic development to ensure a good start for the 15th Five-Year Plan; will continue to stand firmly with the Palestinian side and support the just cause of the Palestinian people; and will jointly draw on the inspiring spirit of the horse to take the China-Palestine strategic partnership to a new level.

During the event, young overseas Chinese performed pieces such as "I Love You, China"; Palestinian youth performed Chinese Kung Fu and the traditional Palestinian "Dabke" dance; young diplomats from the Office played the Oud with Palestinian artists and demonstrated traditional Chinese calligraphy; guests enjoyed Chinese delicacies such as dumplings and fried tangyuan (sweet rice balls). The atmosphere was warm and friendly.
