On July 27, 2026, H.E. Mr. Sun Zhen, Head of Office of the People’s Republic of China to the State of Palestine, paid a courtesy call to H.E. Mr. Hussein Al-Sheikh, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO), Vice President of the State of Palestine, and Deputy Chairman of Fatah.

Mr. Sun Zhen stressed his responsibility to assume his post on the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of the establishment of the China-Palestine strategic partnership and his will to work with all sectors in Palestine to develop bilateral relations to a new height. He emphasized that the Palestinian question concerns human conscience and morality, international fairness and justice, regional peace and stability, and that China is willing to continue playing a positive role in achieving a just, lasting and comprehensive settlement of the question at an early date.

Mr. Hussein Al-Sheikh warmly congratulated the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, welcomed Mr. Sun to his new post, and spoke highly of the traditional friendship between Palestine and China and their strategic partnership. He appreciated China’s consistent and firm support for the just cause of the Palestinian people in restoring their legitimate national rights, and expressed his willingness to join efforts with Chinese side to carry forward cooperation.
