On February 17, 2025, Li Xin, the Chargé d'affaires a.i. of Office of the People’s Republic of China to the State of Palestine, signed an exchange of letters with Samah Hamad, the Minister of Social Development of the State of Palestine, regarding the Chinese government's provision of a new batch of emergency humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
Li Xin said that this batch of aid is an important part of China's implementation of the assistance measures for Palestine announced by President Xi Jinping at the 10th Ministerial Conference of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum in 2024. China will collaborate with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization to provide food packages to 60,000 families in Gaza. Since the Gaza conflict, China has provided emergency humanitarian aid to Gaza in multiple batches. Regardless of how the situation changes, China will continue to firmly support the just cause of the Palestinian people to restore their legitimate national rights and promote the early and just resolution of the Palestinian issue on the basis of the "two-state solution".
Samah Hamad said that the Palestinian government highly appreciates China's consistent and firm support for Palestine, sincerely thanks China for providing various assistance to Palestine. Palestine looks forward to China playing a greater role in promoting regional peace and stability.
