On August 20, 2026, H.E. Sun Zhen, Head of Office of the People's Republic of China to the State of Palestine, met with H.E. Dr. Ahed Bseiso, Minister of Public Works and Housing of the State of Palestine. Diplomats Yang Yiming and Zhou Xin were present at the meeting.

Minister Bseiso warmly welcomed Sun on his new post, spoke highly of China's just stance on the Palestinian question and its long-standing selfless assistance to Palestine, hoping that China would play a greater role in the post-conflict reconstruction of the Gaza Strip and the improvement of people's livelihood in the West Bank.

Sun reiterated that China firmly supports the just cause of the Palestinian people in restoring their legitimate national rights and is willing to continue to provide humanitarian and development assistance to Palestine to the best of its ability.
