On August 26, 2026, H.E. Sun Zhen, Head of Office of the People’s Republic of China to the State of Palestine, met with Ms. Jamila Eragat, Head of Asia-Pacific Administration at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine.

Sun stated that China has long attached great importance to the Palestinian question. Recently, President Xi Jinping put forward four principles that should be followed to push for the resolution of the Palestinian question. China will adhere to the four principles and work with the international community to promote a comprehensive, just, and lasting resolution to the Palestinian question at the earliest possible date.

Jamila welcomed Sun to his new post, expressing Palestine’s high appreciation and sincere gratitude for the four principles put forward by President Xi Jinping. She looked forward to China playing a greater role on the Palestinian question and expressed willingness to work with China to advance China-Palestine relations and cooperation across all fields.
