On September 1, 2026, H.E. Mr. Sun Zhen, Head of Office of the People’s Republic of China to the State of Palestine, met with H.E. Sylvia Abu Laban, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the founder of the “Volunteer for Hope” organization.

Sun introduced the four principles for resolving the Palestinian question outlined by Chinese President Xi Jinping, stating that China will adhere to the principles to effectively implement assistance to Palestine across all sectors, expresses his willingness to continue cooperating with “Volunteer for Hope” organization to provide assistance to Palestinian youth and women.

Sylvia welcomed Sun’s assumption to his new post, spoke highly of the principles outlined by President Xi for resolving the Palestinian question, expressed sincere gratitude to China for its support to “Volunteer for Hope” organization, and her willingness to the further promotion of cooperation between China and Palestine in the fields of youth, women, and education.
