On September 3, 2026, H.E. Mr. Sun Zhen, Head of Office of the People’s Republic of China to the State of Palestine, met with Staff Major General Mahmoud Harun, Head of The General Military Training Commission.

Sun stated that China has long attached great importance to the situation in the Middle East and the Palestinian question. Recently, during his visit to Egypt, Chinese President Xi Jinping raised a four-point proposal on building a new security architecture in the Middle East, and reaffirmed that the Palestinian question remains at the core of the Middle East question.The proposal has drawn widespread attention from the international community, regional countries and Palestinian people.

Harun welcomed Sun’s assumption to his new post, expressed sincere gratitude to China for constantly upholding a just stance on the Palestinian question, and China’s efforts to realize peace and stability in the region. He thanked China for providing military training courses to Palestine and expressed his willingness to strengthen bilateral exchanges and cooperation.
