On September 15, 2026, H.E. Mr. Sun Zhen, Head of Office of the People’s Republic of China to the State of Palestine, met Ahmad Assaf, General Supervisor of Official Media of the State of Palestine, and visited the Palestinian Broadcasting Corporation (PBC), Palestine TV, the Palestinian News and Information Agency (WAFA), the National Printing Press.

Sun said that this year marks the 10th anniversary of President Xi Jinping’s proposal of the 48-character responsibilities and mission of news and public opinion work, an area in which China and Palestine share similar understandings and views. The two sides can further strengthen cooperation and work together to make a stronger voice for Global South.

Assaf said that the Palestinian side appreciates China’s steadfast support for the just cause of the Palestinian people and looks forward to further strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the media sector to tell the stories of China’s development and China-Palestine friendship well. 

Sun also gave separate interviews to WAFA and Palestine TV on China-Palestine relations, media cooperation and other topics.
