On September 16,2026, H.E. Mr. Sun Zhen, Head of Office of the People’s Republic of China to the State of Palestine, was invited to attend a seminar entitled “The Impact of Soft Power of China’s Diplomacy on Palestine amid Changes” organized by the International Academic Campaign Against Israeli Occupation and Apartheid, and deliver a keynote speech. Using seven P’s of Party, President, Principle, Practice, Prosperity, Paper and People, Sun introduced China’s foreign policy and China’s views on the Palestinian question.

Ahmad Majdalani, member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and Secretary-General of the Palestinian Popular Struggle Front; Laila Ghannam, member of the Fatah Central Committee and Governor of Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate; Omar Awadallah, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Palestine;Ahmed Sabih, Chairman of the Yasser Arafat Foundation; and Ramzi Odeh, Chairman of the International Academic Campaign, also addressed the seminar. Around 180 people from Palestinian political factions, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, research institutions, as well as diplomatic representatives to Palestine, attended the event. The seminar highly commended China’s foreign policy and expressed the hope that China would play a greater role in the Palestinian question.
