On September 29, 2026, H.E. Mr. Sun Zhen, Head of Office of the People’s Republic of China to the State of Palestine, and his wife hosted a reception celebrating the 77th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China. Eng. Mohammed Al-Amour, Minister of National Economy attended and addressed the event as the representative of President Mahmoud Abbas. About 300 guests were present, including senior leadership of Palestine’s political factions, government and security departments, friends from different sectors and Chinese community in Palestine.

In his speech, Mr.Sun reviewed the great achievements made by the Chinese people under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, introduced the vision of a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind and the four global initiatives, explained President Xi Jinping’s four-point principle for resolving the Palestinian question, and outlined China’s assistance to Palestine. 

Sun also noted that this year marks the 3th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Palestine strategic partnership. Looking ahead, we should work together to be inheritors of our historic friendship, companions on our journey of modernization, and drivers of mutual learning between our civilizations.

Al-Amour and other guests congratulated China on its National Day, spoke highly of the achievements of Chinese modernization, and expressed their wishes for greater progress in China-Palestine relations.
