On October 8,2026, H.E. Mr. Sun Zhen, Head of Office of the People’s Republic of China to the State of Palestine, met with Samah Abdul Rahim Hussein Hamad, Minister of Social Development of the State of Palestine.

Sun said that China’s support for Palestine is reflected not only in its humanitarian and development assistance, but also in its decades-long, unwavering political support. China will work closely with Palestinian side to effectively implement the assistance measures announced by President Xi Jinping, promote the well-being of the Palestinian people through inclusive and equitable development, advance the Global Development Initiative in a deeper and more substantive manner, and work together to build a community with a shared future for mankind.

Hamad highly commended China’s longstanding strong support for and selfless assistance to the just cause of restoring the legitimate national rights of the Palestinian people. She also thanked China for providing timely assistance to Palestine and hoped that the two sides would carry out more cooperation in humanitarian assistance, social development and other fields.
