On October 14, 2026, H.E. Mr. Sun Zhen, Head of Office of the People’s Republic of China to the State of Palestine, met with Dr. Yasser Abu Bakr, member of the Revolutionary Council of Fatah and head of the Movement Oversight and Membership Protection Committee of the Palestinian National Liberation Movement "Fatah".

Sun briefed the delegation on the historical evolution, fundamental experiences and remarkable achievements of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in strengthening Party discipline, emphasized that since 2012, the CPC Central Committee with Xi Jinping at its core has advanced full and rigorous Party self-governance into greater depth.

Sun noted that the Fifth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC is forthcoming, with its main agenda including the study of the advancement of full and rigorous Party self-governance, and he would like to brief the Committee on the outcomes of the session.

Abu Bakr and the delegation spoke highly of the CPC’s commitment to strengthening Party self-governance throughout its 105-year history, expressed their willingness to further learning from the CPC’s successful experience in discipline inspection and supervision.
